Sir,
I have received Mr Gr Scagg's letter of the 6th Instant covering one addresed to Colo Butler who has urged me to make a further provision of Barracks in Fort Fayette as well for the present Garrn. as for a reinforcement, which from the present Complexion of affairs in this Country he thinks absolutely necessary the Buildings are accordingly going on & shall be Prosecuted with the utmost economy.
