Sir I have received your favour of the 22^d Inst — I am happy in your paying such Prompt attention to the Bags, I shall be prepared to send them forward the moment the [undecipherable] — I expected from you a General return of Clothing for this Year. In that case I could have made arrangements for their transportation with more exactness — As there is a probability of the Troops at the upper posts on the Ohio being augmented, will it not be proper that you should have the number in winter that the proper arrangements may be made for the Clothing. (Capt [undecipherable: Hows?] Detach^t are here [undecipherable] to be Clothed — On the 26 Instant I was under a necessity of drawing on you in favour of David Evans at ten days Sight for two hundred & fifty Dollars, which please to pay and charge as [undecipherable] — I have engaged two Armourers lately discharged from the Army) to repair a number of Arms that are out of Order: on setting them to work I find a number of [undecipherable] essentially [undecipherable] for this Business, are wanting.
