Pittsburg 29^th August 1794 Sir, I have received Major Staggs letter of the 22^d Instant — The Dispatches for General Wayne, the 24 Gen^l & Officers with the army, go forward in the usual Mail & consequently are chargeable with Postage this Circumstance I mention in a former letter to Col^l Pickering & the Surgeon & reported that the necessary Arrangements would have taken place at the War Office. Nothing new has Occured in our neighbourhood since my last. Yesterday a Meeting of the Gen^l Committee took place at Cresstons, to take into Consideration the Proposition of the Commissioners of Government, the Result is not yet known here. It has been Suggested that the Garrison of Fort Fayette will be augmented (will it not in that case) be necessary to Provide Quarters by erecting Barracks in the Fort in addition to those already there, which Cannot accommodate more than one hundred men including Officers — [And since last post I have sent forward a Daily load carrying 451 B Oat 34^th B Corn & 70 Sutter Bags —] I am, Sir, your Ob^t Ann B.
