Accountants Office August 20, 1794 Sir, By the Mail of this day the Treasurer has remitted to you his draft on the Branch Bank at Charleston drawn in favor of John Haan cashier of the Bank of the United States and made payable to your order for the sum of One thousand eight hundred and two dollars to be placed in the hands of Constant Freeman Esq^r Agent for the War Department in Georgia, and for which you will please to take his receipt to be accountable, being to discharge the pay, subsistence and forage of the troops for the months of August and September 1794.
