Edward Shackleford for their service from 1^st to 30^th October 1792, which sum is to be placed in your hands to be paid to the individual claimants agreeably to a duplicate pay roll herewith enclosed and for the due application whereof you are held accountably. Agreeably to the system prescribed in such cases separate receipts are to be taken and where a signature is not written, it must be countersigned by a person of responsibility, * the vouchers for your exoneration are to be transmitted to me under cover to the Secretary of War.
