Genl. the sum of Seventy thousand and seventy two dollars — Sixty eight thousand two hundred and thirty dollars are in post notes of the Bank of the [undecipherable] drawn in favor of Caleb Swan, Paymaster to the Troops being for the pay, subsistence and forage of the Troops under General Wayne for the Month of August and for pay on account of the Kentucky Volunteers, the residue being one thousand eight hundred and forty two dollars are in Current Notes, a Schedule of which is inclosed — this latter sum is for the pay, subsistence and forage of the Troops at Fort Pit and its dependencies for the same Month and includes the pay and subsistence of Capt.
