Your letter of the 1st Instant I have received — A large Packet that accompanied my letter of the 25th Ultimo which Contained Vouchers of my disbursement &of which the Post was robbed, has been returned to the post office Pittsburg opened but Papers all safe. I shall embrace the first Opportunity of Transmitting them to the Comptroller of the Treasury, I conveyance by the mail being uncertain —
I have received by the Ohio mail a Large Packet from Head Quarters together with letters from Fort Franklin addressed to You which is now sent forward by this Post —
Accounts from Fort Washington Says that Genl Scott with 2000 mounted Volunteers has Crossed the Ohio from the 15 to the 20 Ultimo on their way to Head Quarters —
