The Secretary of War has directed a remittance to you of two hundred dollars through the hands of Aaron Dunham Esqr Supervisor of New York for the recruiting service for which you will please to sign duplicate receipts to be accountable for the due application thereof.
I have enclosed you copies of my circular letters to recruiting officers dated 1st and 20th March 1792 and January 23. 1794 to which I request your Strict attention to prevent any embarrassment in the settlement of your accounts.
