[102] Sir Treas^y Depart^t Rev Office July 2^d 1794 I have this moment received your letter to the [undecipherable] of the Treas^y of the 28 inst^t desiring a rendezvous to be established for the Artillery & engineer recruits at Fredericksburg in Virginia. It refers to one of yours to him of the 16 ult^o upon the subject of Other Rendezvous for the same service; of which last letter I had before no knowledge. I shall enquire what has been done; & shall endeavour to have the whole arrangement expeditiously made. I have the honor to inform you that I have agreed with Mess^rs Gilberts, the contractors, to furnish two artillery [underline: coats] in lieu of the of the rifle [underline: coats] which they are obligated by their contract with the Secretary of the Treas^y to deliver. I also am[undecipherable] instantly pointed urged them to the completion of their contract with the Sec^y, he being absent when your letter on that subject was received.
