The Secretary of War requests that you will please to have packed up for a long transportation, which is to Knoxville addressed to Governor Blount. Ten barrels of the finest [underline: Rifle] powder and a proportionable quantity of [underline: Rifle flints], and that, you will please to have them transported from hence to Manchester in Virginia to the care of Andrew Nicholson &Co: Merchants, together with all the Indian goods furnished the Chickasaws Indians now in this City, and which will be delivered to you by Mr Tench Francis. and that you will please to write to Nicholson &Co. and request them, on receiving these goods &c, to have them forwarded with all possible dispatch, and safety, to Governor Blount, at Knoxville, and that the expences of transportation be settled by you, and charged in the usual mode.
