[(N^o 23)] War department July 14 1794 Sir I have received your letter of the 11 instant A supply of medicines and hospital Stores shall be prepared and transported to Pittsburg with all possible dispatch. An abundant supply of these articles were estimated for Pittsburg, and they have been provided and forwarded, but probably not being marked specially for Pittsburg they have all gone to other Quarters. The expences in the Hospital line at Pittsburg must be paid by some person and having entire confidence in your direction I had rather they should pass through your hands. Pay therefore what is due but make out a separate account of all such sums that you have thus paid and transmit that accounts and vouchers through this Office to M^r Howell and the amount shall be remitted to you in order to replace the Sums taken for this object from the Quarter Masters department I am Sir with great esteem Your ob^dt Servant Major Isaac Craig
