Document 1794Engineer John Vermonnet forwards to the Secretary of War a draught of the fortification of Annapolis. Also states that the crossway at Alexandria will be completed next week, weather permitting. Vermonnet intends to open the ditches as soon as the crossway is finished. Colonel Fitzgerald has contracted for them.
