In answer to yours of the 18^th requesting the dimensions of the Masts and Spars for the 44 pound 36 gun frigates, I have the honor to observe that on the 2 last tall month I transmitted to the Secretary of the Treasury an estimate of the Masts and Spars for a 44 gun frigate, a copy of which is here enclosed, and there remarked that those for 36 guns would be but very little inferior to those of 44 guns.
