The Secretary of War has directed the Treasurer to make you the following remittances to be transmitted to the persons for whom the same are intended being for the purpose of mounting the Artillery viz.
Two hundred dollars for Daniel Rogers Esqr at Gloucester —
Two hundred & fifty dollars for Nathaniel & Goodrich Collector at Portland —
Two hundred & fifty dollars for Joseph Hiller Collector at Salem —
Two hundred & fifty dollars for Samuel R. Geary Collector at Marblehead —
Two hundred dollars for Amasa Davis at Boston.
For which they are requested to sign duplicate receipts severally to be accountable for the due application thereof.
