[Endorsement on cover: [undecipherable] / Craig [undecipherable] / [undecipherable] 1794] Pittsburg 11^th July 1794 Dear Sir, Your letter of the 4^th Instant enclos'd with =5000 Dollars Blank notes I have received, together with a packet for Col° Sergeant & letters for Edw'd Harris, all of which shall go forward in this days Mail for Fort Washington. I presumes my letter by last Post has informed you of Col° Sergeants taking charge of the Spelter Solder, and as the Water has since been favourable, I have no doubt of its having by this time reached its destination — Lieut Smith left one old Saddle one Bridle but no Port manteau or other Trapings. Several Waggens with Clothing &c has lately arrived most of these Waggens have brought a number of Bundles of Tents, the out sides of which are Generally injured, those delivered on the 9^th by John Brotherton are in a bad Condition indeed, I am therefore of Opinion P[articularly] as Brotheston is a Carefull Waggoner, that the Injury these heavy Bundles sustain by Continual friction on their way here is unavoidable, and that In future Tents ought to be put up in the same manner with Cloathing. Major Stagg has been so obliging as to forward Beaches Neuw Papers for which I ame a Subscriber — this day my Packet has not arrived, from which I conclude that either Beach has not sent the Papers to the War Office, or that Major Stagg has been too much hurried to have them put up in this Packet — [undecipherable] I have the liberty of [undecipherable] the attention of one of Your young men to this news Paper business for me.
