On the 28th of June I received your favour of the 24th of the same month. On the 3d instant I received your favour of the 20th ultimo, and also your circulating letter to recruiting officers, dated the 1st and 20th March 1793, and 23d January 1794. I shall endeavour to pay strict attention to the directions contained in them.
The Supervisor of the revenue for the district of Massachusetts paid me on the 25th of June Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars for the recruiting Service; and this day he has further paid me Seventy Eight Dollars for three months pay in advance for both which Sums I have given the receipts required.
