Dear Sir
Your favour of the 28 Ultimo I have Reed together with a Packet for Col° Sergeant who is to Set off this day for fort Washington —
The Cask Containing the Shelter [undecipherable] arrived on the evening of the 28 Ultimo apparently in good order, I have this day given Col° Sergeant Charge of it making him Accountable for its Safe delivery to the D° M° Gen° [undecipherable].
The next Papers [undecipherable] be now — covered and adressed to the D- M Gen
I Shall make out and Transmit You an estimate of the objects of Expenditure that arises in Consequence of the D° M° Gen° requisition — When in Philadelphia I apply'd to the Secretary of War for Medicine & Hospital Stores for the upper posts on The Ohio and had his promise that an Assortment of these articles Should be Sent up and Sent forward; But I am [undecipherable] it has Slept his memory & Have therefore to request you to remind him
