[Archival stamp: State Dep^t Nov [?] R.P.O. 40181] [Address panel notation, upper right: undecipherable] Pittsburg 4^th July 1794 Dear Sir Your favour of the 28 Altimo I have Rec'd together with a Packet for Col^o Sergeant who is to Sett of this day for Fort Washington — The Cask Containing the Spelter Solder arrived in the evening of the 20^th Altimo apparently in good order; I have this day given Col^o Sergeant charge of it making him Accountable for its safe delivery to the D^r M^r Gen^l or order. The news Papers shall be new — covered and addressed to the D^r M^r Gen^l I Shall make out and Transmit You an estimate of the objects of Expendetures that Arise in Consiquence of the D^r M^r Gen^l orequisition — When in Philadelphia I applyied to the Secretary of War for Medicine & Hospital Stores for the upper posts on the Ohio and had his promise that an Asportment of these articles Should be put up and Sent forward.
