[letter from Cap^t Bisshell acknowledging the receipt & Inspecting the clothing — N^o 2 July 4, 1794] Middletown June 28.^th 1794 — Sir I recevd your letter of the 14.^th Ultimo with the Invoice of 50 Suits of Cloathing Compleat. I recevd the Cloathing in exceding good order I think every attention has ben paid both in packing and in the transportation to this place — I have examined every individual article of Cloathing I find all very good — I have compared the Invoice with the Hogsheads marked with the Bales &c — I find one privates shirt wanting in Hogshead N^o 3. I have been very particular in recounting them. but I find one is really wanting — I am not sure but the shirt might been taken out on the Water — all the other articles are vacat.
