Inclosed you have duplicate of your account current for recruiting and for your pay to the 1st Inst. the balance of One hundred and twenty four dollars and 16 Cts. the Treasurer has remitted to John Chester Esqr Supervisor for which you will sign duplicate receipts — I am not authorized to allow your charge for barrack hire, it has not been granted to any officer to my knowledge; the Contractor was directed to furnish barracks for your recruits. the Secretary of War does not contemplate any other provision and it does not appear that any such expence has been incurred —
