Forwarded Letter
Document 1794Letter to Gen. Wayne received, will be forwarded on well armed light boat. It is expected to reach Fort Washington shortly due to rain swollen rivers. Supplies to Fort Washington to be sent forward. Supplies requested by Polhemus received and acknowledged.
Pittsburg 20th June 1794 Sir Your letter of the 2 & 14th Instant I have this any Recd together with the aikel address to Genl. Wayne, which shall immediately be sent forward on board a light Boat in chage of an active Confidentials Boatmaster with a Party well warmed & as the Rier is considerably swelled I have no doubt pf his reaching Fort Washington on the 25th. The letter addressed to Capt. Crawford I have delivered for Lieut. Polhemus shall be forwarded wihtout delay, Major Butler is not Arrived Capt. Heath is expected to morrow or next day with his detachment. I have enclosed an Invoice of Stationary and Ln. Mr. Stores forwarded to Fort Franklin addressed to Liet. Polhemus the Receipt of which he has Acknowledged a further supply together with ammunition shall be forwarded as soon as an escort can be obtained of Capt. Crawford. I have inclosed an invoice of Stores sent to Fort Washington since the 5th Instant. A few articles have just come to hand which I shall send forward together whith a quantity of Forage under escort of Capt. Heaths detach! It is reported that two British Armed Vessels are laying off Presquila & that Complineters gave to Buffallo Creek to meet the British Agent. [last lines only partially legible] I am Sir your obt.
