No. 40181] Pittsburgh 30^th May 1794 Dear Sir — Your Letter of the 21^st I have this moment Received — I am Sorry that my Drafts has Occasioned You any difficulty. the Quarter Master General [undecipherable] he has Appropriated a Considerable Sum Subject to my Order, I therefore apprehend that there is a Misunderstanding between you and the Quarter Master General Respecting the appropriation of 15000 Dollars — The hired Horse will be Sent to Philadelphia by a Carefull hand in a few days. I Shall not neglect to enquire and inform you Respecting the Spelter Sodder, the Quarter Master General is anxious to Receive it, but Says he Cannot wait here for it, I Shall therefore Send it by Capt Heth, who is now on his march from Winchester, for this place — The D.^it General Informs me that he has whilst in Philadelphia, advanced 18.000 Dollars to Charles Green, in Consequence of his Grain Contract, Mr Green ought therefore to return my Draft on You for 11.000 Dollars, as the Sum Received of Col.
