New Brunswick 28 May 1794 Sir, Ensign James Vonher the Recruiting Officer at this Rendezvous in the early part of this Month, was ordered to march with his Company to Philad^a — he had a quantity of Public Stores on hand, which were put into my Store House, and an account thereof taken by a young Gentleman who acted for me in my [strikethrough: absence], he also receipted for them in my [strikethrough: name] behalf I being at that time absent, the account [strikethrough: which] kept, is mislaid and no entry made thereof in my Books, the C[undecipherable] is given Ensign Vonher I presume is in [undecipherable] Office and that I am charged with the contents, I must therefore ask the favour of a Copy of said Recepts to enable me to make a proper entry thereof, in furnishing of which you will much Oblige Your Mo.
