Sir,
Enclosed you have, [underline: confidentially,] the requested return of the Legion under the immediate command of General Wayne — You will please to remember that the troops on the upper parts of the Ohio, and in Georgia are not included — the Se[cretary] of War requests that the clothing may be forwarded a[ccording]ly — It is however to be observed, that the Cavalry are sixty four Men deficient of the establishment, and as Cornet Slough will recruit at Lancaster it will be well to retain about thirty suits
I am, with esteem,
Sir,
Your obed Servant
