The Treasurer of the United is directed to remit to you to be transmitted to Capt John Beth at Winchester Virginia, the sum of 144 dollars and 24 Cents being for his pay and subsistence for October, November and December 1793, and the further sum of One hundred dollars for the contingent expences on the March of his detachment to Pittsburgh — which sums I am to request that you be pleased to remit as soon as possible.
