Sir,
Your letter of the 19th ultimo by Lieut. Campbell Smith is received, also Major Staggs of the 26 by this days Post.
A Boat and hands for accommodation of Lieut. C. Smith will be ready tomorrow morning & Boats for Transportation of the recruits to Fort Washington shall be ready for their embarkation on their arrival at this place.
Since last Post day I have sent forward one Boat carrying two thousand four hundred and thirty seven gallons whiskey & four grain Boats Carrying 2342 Bushels of Corn & 10072 Bushel oats on Board and these Boats I have sent three Horse Masters and thirty six drivers these in addition to those already sent forward completes six Brigades of Pack Horse men viz six Masters and seventy two men all engaged to serve one year with the army unless sooner dischargd
By Lieut Smith I have received Money for pay of the Troops at the upper Posts up to 30th March 1794
