I find that the Notes intended to pay the troops at the upper posts have through Mistake been made payable to Swan. I wrote them for advice you to apply to Isaac Smith and get you Amount in Current Notes — You will please to Notify Mr Swan on the transmission of the Casks of Aker. and give particular instructions to the Bearer and advise to the commanding Officer at Fort Washington —
