Agreeably to your request I have made arrangements with the Bank of the United States for Notes to be transmitted to Georgia for the pay of the Troops there, to include the month of May next— these Notes will be ready tomorrow — The troops in Georgia have been paid to 1st July last, therefore there will be eleven months pay and forage amounting to 9991 dollars to be now sent— 4585 dollars of which is in the hands of the Treasurer the residue 5406 dollars you will please to ask the Secretary of the Treasury for to place in the hands of the Treasurer.
