I have delayed answering the question proposed by you relative to the claim of Capt Moses White untill I should be satisfy myself by an appeal to such documents on my possefsion as might throw light on the subject, on examining the Musters of 1792 &1793 it does not appear that he was Mustered as Aid de camp, but in referring to the account as [strikethrough: settled] by Mr Brace, Capt White is there mentioned as such tho' only allowed the pay of a Captain— I also find that Mr Brace paid Capt White the sum of twenty five dollars and 60/90 for his services as intendant of prisoners from the 15th of August to 21st October 1792. consequently he will
