an unexpected & lucky opportunity offers of sending a letter to the Post Office which I embrace to acknowledge the receipt of your favor by Mr Perkins. I thank you for the liberal supply of money sent to me I have been thereby enabled to comply with my contracts. the want of the Publick is extensive, and life & activity given to the department, as I am extremely hurried and have it in Prospect to write more fully in a few days I can but inform you that I will attend particularly to the several requisitions contained in your letter Monsr Worthington Theophs [undecipherable] and John Lewis have arrived at this place the two latter Inform that the vessel which brought them to Richmond had a bad passage but that the Publick Property is
safely arrived at Manchester whither I shall send for it in a few days
