Sir
With this you will receive one Voucher of Monies paid to the 1st Sub Legion as Pay Master, accompanied with my Act Current with the United States, in which you may observe that the Amt had and the Money remaining in my hands, is a few Dolls more than the Drs I have Received of the United States the little time I have had has not been sufficient for me to discover the error, which I suspect must arise from the August payment [strikethrough: which was raised as much from a [undecipherable] as any actual statement] which was in consequence of the Rolls which had been compared with the Muster, being in the hands of Col. Hamtramck who was absent at the time the Money was paid — you will also observe that I send you the Commander in Chiefs Warrant upon which is Lt Tillinghasts Rect for the Pay of Capt Pasteurs Compy for Aug Sept. Oct. Nov. & Dec — I should have sent the Individuals receipts, but having received them since my being in this place, I had not time to send them to Head Quarters for Capt. Haskells Receipt, which I find is not upon the Pay Rolls — I will have this as well as the identity for which Maj. [undecipherable] has Recd Money
transmitted to you as soon as possible —
I am with Respect
