[W^m Jnoⁿ go Letter Knoxville 7 April 1794] Knoxville April 7^th 1794 Sir To my Agent N^o Samuel Jackson by this conveyance I forward my Militia Accounts up to the Beginning of the Year 1794 with a request that he will Exhibit them for Settlement I presume at the Auditors Office. But you who I am sure are better Acquainted with the most proper Channel through which they shall have concieve they Ought Previously to receive your examination as when you where here you will please to inform him — You will Recollect my Returns from the extended Country they which I have contracted to Supply Rations were not compleat or not to hand when you left this place — Sales inclose to my Agent my Account for Supplies to the Regulars for three Months in the Year 1794 in which I have given Credit for the Sum you was so kind to pay me in Advance — Those Sir I shall have Every Facility in Office in the passage of my Account than the Justice of them Intitle me to. For having no Money in Advance except the Sum above Acknowledged I realy am in Need of cash — to the Governors Official Report to the Secretary of war Refer you for the Indian Murders and Depredations since your Departure which I presume will be made Public and am with Very great Respect Your Obedient Servant James King Col^o David Henley, Agent of the war Department
