for this quarter, and having transmitted by him 15000 Dollars in Bank
notes for the Bills, in addition to your instructions from the War Office
I request you will take care that he proceeds from Pittsburgh, safe and
expeditious as possible. —

informing me of your having obtain[ed] sundry Articles from that place, which
can be dispensed with at present and in order to prevent any confusion
to the purchases of the present expedition you will please to procure this

have not a word from the Army since you left this. I wait in daily expecta-
tion [for] something of consequence from that quarter. —
Convinced that you cannot procure 30000 Bushels of [undecipherable: Corn]
in the upper parts of the [undecipherable: Ohio], and dreading the consequences of depending
on the [undecipherable: Montgomery] [undecipherable], which must [undecipherable] be done endeavour to confirm your
Contracts with Mr [undecipherable: Tindey] [&] Co. and with [undecipherable: Greene] [undecipherable: Thomas] for as they will
perform, and then your principal dependance will be with the people
of Ohio County. I [undecipherable: marvel]. the whole purchase of forage must be deliver[ed]
at Ft. Washington if possible. —
