is directed to remit to you the sum of One hundred and ninety eight dollars being for the services of Mr. John Blakely of Wilmington in safe keeping a trunk of Gold taken from 74

on Board the Spanish Brigt StJoseph from 5th October 1793 to 14th February 1794 which sum the Secretary of War requests you will pay to him taking duplicate receipts for the same to be transmitted to this Office ~
