Description

Instructions to John Jacob Ulrick Rivardi, acting as temporary Engineer in the service of the United States. Rivardi has been appointed engineer for the purpose of fortifying the ports and harbors of Baltimore, Alexandria and Norfolk. Rivardi will be paid at the rate of four dollars a day.
