[Penna Thomas Moore 9964] To all Persons to whom these Presents shall come Greeting. KNOW YE, That I Thomas Moore late a private in the Penna [undecipherable: line?] in the Service of the United States of America, for a valuable consideration to me in hand paid at and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents, by [undecipherable] have bargained, sold, remised, released quit claim, transferred and assigned, and these presents do grant, bargain sell remise, release, quit claim, transfer and assign to the said [undecipherable] his heirs and assigns forever, all the [undecipherable] property, claim and demand which I now have and all the right, title, interest, claim and demand, which I, my heirs, executors or administrators or either of them, may have to all the land which I am entitled to, and to all the lands which I or either of them may at any time hereafter be entitled to from the Congress of the United States of America. And also all the lands which I am entitled to from the Commonwealth of [undecipherable: Pennsylvania?] by virtue of an Act of the said Legislature of [undecipherable], for my Services as [undecipherable] in the army of the United States of America for and during the war with Great Britain and to every grant or patent of land and also all arrearages or sums of money for arrearages of clothing, rations, rewards, gratuities, prize monies, commutations and wherefor howsoever due to me from any person or persons for any supplies rendered to the United States or to any one single date. To have, hold, receive take and enjoy the said lands, monies and of the premises granted and assigned, and to and for the only proper use and behoof for ever. And the said Thomas Moore for himself, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns hereby covenant and agree to and with the said [undecipherable] his heirs and assigns, that I the said Thomas Moore [undecipherable] my heirs, executors, administrators or assigns shall and will at any time or times hereafter, at the request, cost and charges of the said [undecipherable] his heirs or assigns make seal and execute, or cause or produce to be made, sealed and executed, all and every such reasonable act and acts, deed and deeds, conveyance and conveyances, affiance and affiances in the law whatsoever for the perfect granting, conveying, remising, releasing, transferring and assigning, all and singular the premises herein granted and demanded, which the said [undecipherable] have or which the said [undecipherable] his heirs executors, administrators or any time hereafter have, of, in and to the lands, pay, thereof, unto the said [undecipherable] and his heirs and assigns and of in and to every part and parcel behoof of the said [undecipherable] his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of the said [undecipherable] his heirs and assigns forever. And the said [undecipherable] counsel learned in the law, shall be reasonably advised devised or required. And the said [undecipherable] my true and lawful Attorney irrevocably to ask, demand, follow and obtain in my name or otherwise, but for the sole use of the said [undecipherable] his heirs and assigns forever, a grant or patents from the United States and from the commonwealth of [undecipherable: Pennsylvania?] respectively, a grant or patents of all and singular the lands aforesaid in his own [undecipherable]; and also to ask demand and receive all such pay, sum or sums of money for arrearages of clothing, rations, rewards, gratuities; prize monies, commutation monies and other emoluments to me appertaining, and upon receipt thereof to pass any requisite receipt or acknowledgement for the same, hereby releasing and relinquishing all my right for myself, my executors, and Administrators, do covenant and agree with the said [undecipherable] his heirs, executors, Administrators and assigns, that I will not revoke or make the power of attorney herein contained, or do any act which shall impede the said [undecipherable] in soliciting or obtaining a grant or grants, patent or patents for the land aforesaid and receiving the pay monies or other emoluments aforesaid.
