KNOW all MEN by these Presents, That I, Matthew Althouf late a private in the first Pennsylvania line
in the Service of the united States of America for a valuable and full consideration to me in hand paid at or before the execution hereof by Daniel Steven
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have and by these presents do grant bargain sell release, transfer and allign unto him his heirs, executors, administrators and alligns forever; All the right, title, interest, property, claim and demand, which I now have or which my heirs executors or administrators may at any time hereafter have to all & singular the lands pay arrearage of pay, clothing, rations, rewards, bounties, gratuities, prize-monies, and other demands due and owing to me from the United States or from any person or there. And I do hereby for myself my heirs executors and administrators covenant and agree to and with the said Daniel Steven
his heirs, executors administrators and alligns that I my heirs executors and administrators shall and will at any time or times hereafter at the request, cost & charges of him his heirs executors administrators and alligns make seal execute and deliver or cause or procure to be made sealed executed and delivered all and every such reasonable act and acts thing and things conveyance, conveyances allisurance and assurances in the law for the perfect granting conveying releasing transfering and alligning all and right title interest property claim and demand which I now have or which my heirs executors or administrators may at any time hereafter have, of in and to all and singular the lands and other the premisses hereby granted and alligned unto him his heirs executors administrators and alligns forever as by him or their council learned in the law shall be reasonably advised devised or required. And I do hereby make, constitute and appoint the said —

my true and lawful Attorney, irrevocably to all, demand, recover and receive, of and from the United States, or from any particular State, or from any person or persons, acting by, from, or under them, or either of their Attorney and irrevocably to grant releases and receipts, including rations, rewards, bounties, gratuities, prize-monies and other demands, due, owing, payable and belonging to me, or detainable from me, by any manner of ways or means whatsoever, and upon receipt thereof to execute and deliver sufficient and requisite receipts, releases and acquittances for the same, and by good and sufficient conveyances and assurances in the law, to grant, bargain, sell release and confirm the said lands and all other the afore mentioned premisses, to the said Attorney his and alligns for ever. And also to fill, allign and transfer all certificates, and registered or other stock, now or hereafter standing in my name, appertaining
