Your letter of 5th Inst. I have
just received inclosing the account of Mr White
which I now return having given instruction
to David Henley Esqr to discharge the same
agreably to Captn Steels Statement which he
informs is upon the same terms of the Waggons
employed by Mr Allison and I have further
to observe that this is also agreably to the
usage of the Treasury Department —
It is with pleasure that I can
make this communication to you, as I presume
you will be enabled to explain to the satis-
faction of Mr White that his account is to be
settled upon General principles
