December 1785 John White Esq. late Assistant commissioner of Army Accounts for the State of Maryland did receive of Andrew Dunscomb esq. late Assistant Commissioner of Army Accounts for the State of Virginia, sundry final settlement certificates signed by John Pierce commissioner of Army Accounts for sundry non commissioned officers and privates of Col. Lee's Legion of the quota of Maryland, among which the following described Certificates were issued in favor of Matthew Harvey viz. One number 88,021 bearing Interest from the 1^st January 1782. for one hundred dollars, one number 88,027 bearing Interest from the 1^st Jan[uary] 1783 for one hundred dollars, and one number 88,088 bearing Interest from the 15^th of November 1783 for one hundred and thirty four dollars and 65/90 t, the said Certificates bearing date the 1^st January 1785. all which appears on record in this Office. — Joseph Howell W.D. Accountants Office February 18^th 1794 It is certified that Josiah Frisbee late a Lieutenant in first Regiment of Massachusetts was Commissioned as such on the 1^st January 1777 and left service in April 1779 he being a Supernumerary Officer — it is further certified that no Certificates of final settlements were received by A. Eggleston agent for the Regiment for, or on Account of pay of the said Lieutenant Frisbee, all which appears on Record in this Office. Joseph Howell
