Westpoint, Feb^y 17^th 1794 Sir, I now enclose you my account current with its vouchers, Muster & pay rolls of the ordnance detachment to the 31 of December, Cap^t Scotts & my account for salary to the last of same month, and the artificers accounts for their January pay. The balance of $863 2/3 cents in my account current not accounted for I have not in my hands, a part of it I advanced to the artificers on their January pay, and the remainder I paid out & am not able to procure vouchers to send at this time. I have mentioned to the hon^ble the Secretary at War my being in immediate want of about two thousand dollars for contingent expences. On your examining the accounts I now send, which are as regularly arranged as the very great hurry of business I am in would admit; I would thank you for a statement of accounts.
