Accountants Office January 25^th 1794 Sir I have received your letter of the 8^th Ins^t and should have answered it sooner if I could have procured the information requested by you which I now find to be impracticable. the New Jersey papers were once in my possession, but since the Pennsylvania have been settled the accounts of the respective States with the Voilets they have been sent to the registers office and locked up — I do not know that you have any other remedy to procure your certificates or the value of them than by sueing M^r Beck which I think would be adviseable if you are sure he has defrauded you.
