I have the honour to inclose a the Muster & Pay Rolls for the Scout acting on the Frontiers of this County in last Officers; [strikethrough: received] into Service as instructions from his Excellency Genl Wayne; as they are [strikethrough: no] a very expensive Species of Militia, & conceiving it to be the Intention of the Executive to keep them in Service no longer than the danger absolutely exist I have in consequence discontinued them untile the Winter Subsides, or the probable approach of the enemy into our Country —
