I enclose you a pay roll of the scouts of Westmoreland employed between 16th March and 1st of December 1792 amounting to 2359 dollars 18 Cent which sum you will please to pay taking separate receipts for the sums due to each scout respectively to be sustained by an evidence of respectability — These receipts being so taken and lodged in this Office will exonerate you from the charge of the aforesaid sum for due application whereof you are held accountable.
