On the Twelfth of September last I took the Liberty of enclosing (under cover to Genl Knox) the Original [strikethrough: Draft] (of which the enclosed is a Copy) to your care with a request to present the same at the Treasury for payment in my behalf. Not not hearing from you Since I am led to [strikethrough: believe] apprehend my Letter miscarried or that you have mislaid it — which Induces me Again to address you on the Subject, and Request you will be to obliging as to favour me with a line on this point, & that you there not have it Trouble returning to my former letter I enclose a duplicate of it —
