Springfield Jany 1st 1794
Sir
I received your favor of the 11 Ulto—
Inclosed is a copy of the Pay Roll for the
Company that was stationed at Springfield
under my direction, I have no Muster roll
of the Company, as it was never Mustered
Since Capt. Benjamin Frothingham commanded
it. — The New Emission money I received
of Luke Bliss Esqr Commissary of Military
Stores, it was Massachusetts and Rhode Island
how much of each I cannot tell, I paid it
to the Men and have taken their receipts
for it.
The original Pay Roll I sent to
Saml Hodgdon Esqr at Boston by his
request ino November 1784— As he was then
commissary of Military Stores, I thought
it would soon have been Settled.
I can do no more about it but, I
am Satisfied it is a just and true account
of what is due to the Men.—
I am Sir Your Obedt
