The Secretary of War requests the favor that you will please to ascertain, and transmit to him, an estimate in detail of the cost of the following articles — For how much ꝑ ton, may a ship of War be built in Philadelphia, of 800, of 1000 and of 1200 tons, the materials, live oak and cedar, or as much thereof as may be used? — How much Iron would be used for each, and how much ꝑ Ton.?
