Peterburg 25th Novemr 1793
Sir
Nothing of importance has transpired Since last Post, except that Major Winston set off for Fort Washington on the 25.
I have sent in his Charge a few Articles which have been provided here since Lieut Whistlers departure, together with one Package of Cloathing, that had been detained on the Road by the Waggoner. Contents as pr Invoice enclosed —
The letters for Governor Shelby and St Clair, are sent forward by a carefull hand, it is said Governor St Clair is at Marietta —
The boat to carry the dispatches, mentioned in your letter is ready —
I have likewise pointed out a Necessity of obtaining a Title to the Lots, on which Fort Fayette is Erected, & it is now my opinion that it is necessary immediately to pay attention to it and have reason to believe there are people in this country who would have no objections to Purchase that ground, on account of the public buildings erected thereon.
