Pittsburgh 15^th November 1799 Sir, I have Recieved your favor of the 5^th Instant Inclosing a letter for Lieut Whistler, who I Expect by this time is near Fort Washington, he left this place with his Detachment on the 9^th having in Charge all the Cloathing & Stores that have been to hand & have been provided here for Fort Macky's Departure. I have herewith Inclosed a Return of Stores at this Post to the 8^th of November — An Abstract of Disbursements together with my Vouchers is also prepared to be Transmitted to the Comptroller of the Treasury. I have Combined my Abstract & Returns on all acts beyond the usual Period, thereby taking in Perha the principle part of the Disbursements & Transactions of the Year, Except the Purchasing at Wheeling. — I shall pay particular Attention to your Instructions Respecting Barracks and a fuel — It appears that the whole of one Year Cloathing for this Army is forwarded to get one Package N^o 371 of last fall Legion which is [undecipherable] in the hands of Thomas Martin Waggoner who lives in Cliffs in [undecipherable]. We have no Information from the Army since the 5^th Ultimo — Major Wanton is here on his way to Head Quarters Capt Bradford Complains that himself and [undecipherable] his Command & have not Recieved pay for a Considerable time, he has Requested me to Intimate to you that he finds great difficulty in Supporting his family, & that the [undecipherable] is much dependent.
