Document 1793The Indians dispostion to renew the peace with the United States is hindered only by the lawless action of the frontier inhabitants of Georgia. Major Gaither reports that he is unable to muster the militia since there are presently none in service. Since there is no return from the Governor, it is not certain that a force has been called up to protect the frontiers as ordered by the President.
