I have just Received Mr Philip Anecdot's letter of the 27 Ultimo, Inclosing for us a Letter for the Commander in Chief & other Officers at Head Quarters, which I have this moment delivered to Lieut Col Black, who this day Sets off for Fort Washington —
Col Blacks takes Lieut Reed's Detachment with him, together most of the Effective Men from This Post.
I have Sent by this Escort all the forms that have come to hand, or have been provided here Since the 12th Ultimo, Copies of Invoices are herewith Inclosed —
I am now preparing Quarterly Returns and Abstracts of Disbursements, but as I have not been furnished w monies to the Amt of my Estimates, Shall not be able to discharge all the Acco against the Quarter Master Department at this Post, and the Dependences, Untile a Remittance is made me, which I hope will not be neglected —
