The Honble the Secretary of War
Sir,
I have the honor to enclose you a Statement of my disbursements for the Qr Mr Department to this date, with an account of funds that will be necessary for the present Campaign, and support of the Department during the ensuing Winter, exclusive of What post Craig demands, which I trust will be made requisite on his duty or circumstances may require.

The stores came on here, but have been so far inferior to each Department of good quality, and without loss or deficiency except upon Articles of the Cavalry Cloathing being damaged [undecipherable] you will be particularly informed by the General.
As the Commander in Chief wrote you by this office daily I will not trouble you with any further Observations, General returns of the force shall be forwarded as soon as possible after the 1st of October.
